Nordball is operated by Sävyö, a registered sole trader in Finland.

Business ID / Y-tunnus: 3555540-1.

Location: Helsinki, Finland.

Contact: nordballclub@gmail.com.

Nordball organizes pickleball games, intro sessions and other sports activities in Helsinki.

02

What Nordball sessions are

Nordball sessions are organized pickleball games and activities.

The format, date, time, venue, duration, price and player level are shown on the specific event page, for example on Lu.ma or the Nordball website.

The organizer may adapt the format depending on the number of participants, player level and venue conditions.

Formats may include:

  • Intro to Pickleball;
  • Social Play;
  • games with partner rotation;
  • other Nordball club activities.

03

Registration and payment

Registration is made online, for example through Lu.ma or another service specified by Nordball.

A spot is considered booked after successful registration and payment.

Payment may be made through available payment methods, such as payment card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, MobilePay or another method shown during registration.

Payments are processed by third-party payment services. Nordball does not receive or store payment card details.

After successful registration, the participant receives a confirmation by email or through the registration service.

04

Price

The price is shown on the specific event page before payment.

The participant sees the final cost before completing registration.

Nordball may change prices for future events. Price changes do not affect already confirmed and paid bookings.

05

Cancellation by the participant

Nordball sessions are sports activities organized for a specific date and time.

Because Nordball sessions are leisure activities arranged for a specific date and time, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply after registration.

The participant may cancel free of charge no later than 24 hours before the session starts, unless different terms are shown on the specific event page.

If cancellation is made less than 24 hours before the session starts, the payment is non-refundable.

If the participant does not attend the session, the payment is non-refundable.

In individual cases, Nordball may offer to move the booking to another session if the participant contacted Nordball in advance and the spot can be filled by another participant. This is not a guaranteed right and is considered case by case.

06

Cancellation or rescheduling by Nordball

Nordball may cancel or reschedule a session if running the session is impossible or unsafe, for example due to:

  • too few participants;
  • venue issues;
  • technical reasons;
  • organizer illness;
  • force majeure circumstances;
  • other significant reasons that make the session impossible or unsafe to run.

If Nordball cancels a session, the participant will be offered a transfer to another available session or a refund.

07

Late arrival and no-show

Participants are encouraged to arrive early enough to change, prepare and start on time.

If a participant arrives late, the session time is not extended.

If a participant does not attend the session, the payment is non-refundable.

08

Safety and health

Participants take part according to their own health, physical condition and ability.

Please do not participate if you feel pain, significant illness, dizziness or any other condition that may make participation unsafe.

Nordball aims to organize sessions in a safe and clear way, but pickleball, like other sports activities, involves a risk of falls, collisions, strains and other injuries.

In case of emergency, the organizer or venue staff may contact emergency services.

Participants must:

  • wear suitable sports clothing;
  • wear indoor sports shoes;
  • do not participate under the influence of alcohol or drugs;
  • follow the organizer’s instructions;
  • follow venue rules;
  • play respectfully and safely;
  • take other players on court into account.

09

Insurance

Nordball does not provide personal accident insurance for participants.

Participants are encouraged to have their own personal accident insurance or other suitable insurance covering sports activities.

10

Participant behavior

Nordball is an open sports community. Participants must treat other players, the organizer and venue staff with respect, and comply with venue rules.

The organizer may refuse continued participation if a participant breaks rules, creates an unsafe situation or behaves disrespectfully. In such a case, the payment may be non-refundable.

Such situations include:

  • aggressive or disrespectful behavior;
  • creating danger for other players;
  • ignoring organizer instructions;
  • breaking venue rules;
  • being in a condition that makes participation unsafe.

11

Equipment

If Nordball provides paddles or other equipment, the participant must use it carefully and return it after the session.

If a participant intentionally or through gross negligence damages equipment, the venue or other people’s property, the participant may be responsible for the damage caused.

12

Personal belongings

Participants are responsible for their own personal belongings during the session.

Nordball is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings unless caused by intentional acts or gross negligence by the organizer.

13

Photos and videos

Photos and videos may be taken during Nordball games for project communication and promotion, including the website, Instagram and other Nordball channels.

If you do not want to appear in photos or videos, please tell the organizer before the session starts.

Nordball mainly uses general atmosphere photos and videos from sessions. For clearly identifiable close-up portraits or individual promotional materials, Nordball aims to use reasonable care and ask for permission where appropriate.

Nordball does not use photo and video materials disrespectfully and does not publish materials that may appear humiliating, unpleasant or inappropriate for participants.

14

Personal data

Nordball processes personal data only as needed for registration, payment, session organization, communication with participants and necessary administrative tasks.

Read more about data processing in the Privacy & Cookies Policy.

15

Questions and complaints

If a participant has a question, problem or complaint, they can contact Nordball by email:

nordballclub@gmail.com.

Complaints should be sent within a reasonable time after the event.

Nordball aims to resolve disputes directly and in good faith.

16

Disputes

Potential disputes should first be resolved through direct discussion between the participant and Nordball.

If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, the consumer may contact Finnish Consumer Advisory Services and, if needed, the Consumer Disputes Board / Kuluttajariitalautakunta.

17

Changes to these terms

Nordball may update these Terms of Participation.

The new version applies to future registrations and events. Confirmed bookings are governed by the terms available to the participant at the time of registration, unless otherwise required by law.

18

Applicable law

These Terms of Participation are governed by Finnish law.

Mandatory consumer protection rules apply where required by law.
